ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
City Purveyors Limited is an environmentally responsive company and as such we recognize the potential environmental impacts that our operations may have on the environment.
Our activities include a range of integrated solutions aimed at providing shipping, logistics and marine services to our customers. To ensure that this policy is compatible with the context and strategic direction of our company, the Management of CPL have thought of ways to ensure the effectiveness of the Environmental Management system.
The Management of City Purveyors Limited is committed to ensuring that as an organization, our methods:
Protect the environment, prevents pollution and other specific relevant commitment(s) while carrying out our activities.
Sets measurable environmental objectives based on our significant environmental aspects, compliance obligations and considering our risks and opportunities.
Complies with all compliance obligations as it relates to our environmental aspects.
Continually improve the Environmental Management system (EMS) to enhance our environmental performance and comply always with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.
Give appropriate consideration for the environment in the services we provide to our Customers by mitigating against oil spillage, water and air pollution.
Provide employees and others with the resources needed for the EMS, including support, direction and encouragement to fulfill the requirements, commensurate with their role.
Ensure that the environmental impact is well thought through in the procurement of goods, services and business transportation.
Minimizes marine waste generation by reducing, segregating and recycling our waste where economically and operationally feasible.
This policy will be communicated and made available upon reasonable request to all employees, and other interested parties, Employees and other organizations who work on behalf of City Purveyors Limited so far as is reasonably practicable, shall carry out their work without any risk to themselves, others or the environment. They are expected to cooperate and assist in the implementation of this policy.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
City Purveyors Limited understands that the long-term success depends on our ability to continually improve the quality of our services while protecting people and the environment. Prominence is placed on human health, operational safety, environmental protection, enhancement of service quality and community friendliness.
The focus of this commitment is in the best interests of all our interested parties – customers, employees, contractors, stakeholders, regulators and communities in which we live. This will help us achieve a work environment that is healthy and safe for all our people, visitors, contractors and customers.
To achieve this, City Purveyors Limited is committed to :
Providing a safe and healthy working condition to prevent wok – related injury and ill health on our people and strive to continually improve in our OH&S performance and Management.
Acknowledge and comply always with applicable legal requirements and others which we\’re subscribed to, that relate to health and safety hazards in our activities.
Encourage workers\’ participation, consult and respond to employees, customers, neighbors and interested groups that work with us. Employees shall comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves, others and damage to plant and equipment. It is expected of each employee to work in a safe and efficient manner, with special regard for others within the vicinity of their working area.
Set always measurable OH&S objectives and targets, regarding this policy as a framework to ensure continuous improvement aimed at the elimination of work-related hazards and reduction of risks, injury and illness.
Support employees to report all incident that have occurred or may lead to injury or damage, also to assist in any investigation so that steps be taken to prevent recurrence.
Provide always the information, training, instruction and supervision to all employees to ensure they have the skills and competencies needed to safely undertake their roles.
Review periodically its OH&S management system in line with ISO WROOQ:2018 and that it remains appropriate to the purpose, size, context of our organizational and specific to the nature of our OH&S risks and opportunities.
As part of CPL\’s commitment to continuous improvement, this policy statement will be readily made available and communicated to all our parties and all persons working under the control of City Purveyors Limited. It will be reviewed periodically in consultation with the interested parties, most especially our people to ensure that it remains relevant and appropriate to our organization. The review will take account legislative changes, improvements in best practice and reconfirm our commitment to health and safety.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT POLICY
City Purveyors Limited identifies that quality is critical to the success of our business and we have integrated it to all working practices in our organization. We depend on our valued customers and are committed to supplying them with high quality integrated shipping solutions, logistics and maritime services that conform to their requirements. Our aim is to meet and exceed our customers expectations consistently in every operational area.
To achieve this, we have adopted and implemented the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS), such that all staff are informed on the importance of this policy and so be committed to its effectiveness. This will ensure service reliability, efficiency and continual improvement of all our processes.
To meet our commitment, we:
Open communication, identify our customers and their needs.
Set measurable objectives at relevant functions and levels across the entire organization and with structured processes implemented by customer focused management and competent employees.
Comply with applicable statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements, and continually improve the effectiveness of the QMS.
Certify the risk and opportunities that can affect conformity our services and the ability to enhance customer satisfaction are determined and addressed.
Ensure availability of resources to drive QMS implementation; including training. support and employee motivation.
Create partnership with external providers and interested parties to provide an improved service.
Ensure the QMS achieves its intended results.
Annual review of the QMS policy will be done, republished to reflect amendments to ensure its continuing suitability. This policy will be available to relevant interested parties upon reasonable request.
